Now that we are further along in the play, your lists of critical words have gotten longer. Choose one of the your critical words and use it to write about either Abigail, Parris, or John Proctor. Describe what you think about the character. Do you think they are an honest person? A witch? A sinful Salemite? Describe the character focusing on the word your chose; what’s your opinion about them?
After we stopped reading in class at a suspenseful spot, (with a few pleas to just keep reading, might I add) everyone chose another critical word and we put them all on the board. Here are the new words we added to our fast-growing litany:
