Picture Poem Finale

First order of business today is to finish our Holocaust Picture Poems. We're going to have a chance to have some time for silent writing. I'll come around and check out your progress. Then, once poems are typed, we'll read a few of them aloud. I just know that they're going to be awesome and powerful.

After we share our poems, we're going to revisit Night. When we last heard Elie's story, he was boarding a crowded cattle car with his family and the last of the Sighet Jews. Many of you were upset that we had to stop there. Today, we'll find out where he's going and what it was like for him to be transported in this manner.
