Before we could start our midterm, we needed to finish Of Mice and Men. It was heartbreaking to read, but you all made it through the tragic ending and formed a realization that the ending was exactly as it had to be. George was left without any other option. Deeply sad.
After finishing the novel, we wrote a total of three Double Entry Journals. We wrote two Cultural Context entries and one Author's Point of View entry. For this midterm, we used a bank of quotations drawn from Of Mice and Men. I was excited by the connections and higher-level thinking you displayed in the entries I've read so far.
