To celebrate this week's Poetry Friday, you all had the opportunity to read and hear the poem that we're using as a model for our group poem. The poem we read in today's class is called "Listen" and it was written by Laurie Halse Anderson (who also wrote the novel we're reading in class).
Because we're modeling our group poem after "Listen", it's important that we understand how this poem was constructed and what we like/ don't like about this poem. Therefore, we engaged in a Think-Pair-Share activity where you all had time to analyze this poem alone, in pairs, and as a whole group. We did not quite finish, but we'll get all of your
observations down next class.
