We read a lot today. We read so much that we didn't finish all of the other stuff that I had planned. One part of this period that I did plan that we did accomplish was our Poetry Friday dictation/ discussion. We read "Fire and Ice" by Robert Frost. Afterward, we had a lengthy discussion and made predictions as to whether Katniss would survive the Games with fire or with ice. Most of you chose ice, but some of you thought that she would rally at the end of the Games and a bloodbath would ensue. We'll have to see!
We read to page twenty-two. We left off with a mighty explosion caused by Ms. Katniss Everdeen herself. Fire, anyone?
