Today, we spent quite a bit of time in class reading Into the Wild. We learned more about Chris McCandless' friend Ron, who in his 90's decided to take up the type of lifestyle Chris had urged him to consider. We also learned that although Chris was incredibly book-smart, many people viewed him as someone with little common sense. Chris' negative relationship with his parents was further depicted in the passage where we left off. We spent the rest of class finishing our blog posts on recluses from last class, as well as completing any late work that was still missing.
