We're now well into Act One of Romeo and Juliet and you're all doing a phenomenal job acting and getting into character. It seems like you are all understanding this play pretty well and you're asking a lot of great questions and making some solid predictions and text connections.
Today, we read to the beginning of Act One, Scene Four (I.iv.). In this scene, Romeo, Benvolio, and friends are heading toward the Capulet house to crash their party. How will they get inside without being recognized as sworn enemies of the Capulets? Well, lucky for Romeo and company, this is going to be a festive masquerade! So, there will be a huge crowd and everyone will be wearing masks. Now, we'll just have to see how it is that this play is not titled Romeo and Roseline or Paris and Juliet. We'll figure this out next week!
