Since crazy cat Jack's Kerouac's birthday is this week, we're going to honor him with a display of one of his quotes.
"But it ain't whatcha' write, it's the way atcha' write it."
This one of my favorite quotes ever. I actually have a mug at home with this quote on it. It really strikes me because it's so true. Kerouac's writing is a great example of writing exactly how people actually talk. When you read his books, the characters and the settings come absolutely alive through his language. Some of his great works are On the Road, The Dharma Bums, The Subterraneans, and Big Sur amongst others.
