Quote of the Week
Flannery O'Connor, an American writer from the South, was a prolific and profound writer. She penned two novels and thirty-one short stories. She often took on controversial issues, like the Holocaust, and explored them in her stories.
Here's a quotation from her:
"The truth does not change according to our ability to stomach it."
I love her passion and her sass, and I think that this quote really shows how she felt about her duty as a writer. This sentiment is still pertinent in today's world and I think that we all have a responsibility to speak the truth when and where we see it, no matter no painful it is.
