Though we did not make it through Act II in its entirety, we did read to page seventy-five, which is about half way through the act. You did, though, complete the Act I test, and I am confident that you all scored well on this assessment. The reason we're having tests over the events and the sequence of the events in this play is that the culminating activity for this unit will require that you know and understand the events and characters of this play cold.
I will let you know about the final project in more detail next class. If you were absent, please make sure that you read to page seventy-five and complete the test over Act I.
In today's reading, we mostly tried to get a feel for the nervousness and numbness of Lady Macbeth and Macbeth. We tried very hard to recreate the feelings that they would have after committing such a vile crime. You all did a wonderful job in your nervous whispering and manic laughing. Nice and scary. Just the way we like it!
