We've missed a bunch of time this year due to the emergency evacuation drill last week. To make up for lost time, we soldiered through as much of The Absolutely True Diaries as we possibly could today. Of course, we had plenty of time for discussion. The topics we covered ranged from masturbation to controversy over this book to equity/ inequity in education to Arnold's need to leave the rez. Whew!
As I mentioned in class, we've not had time to enjoy a Poetry Friday this year because of a couple of weird weeks and the emergency evacuation. Therefore, we're going to hold a Poetry Thursday this week to get ya'll started!
