Though I was at a literacy workshop today, you all plowed ahead and watched a powerful documentary about the ways young Native Americans are dealing with conflicting American and Native cultures and values. The documentary is called When Your Hands are Tied. I love that it incorporates a diverse group of young Native Americans. It is visually powerful and includes modern music by Native groups.
I left a viewing guide for you all to complete and it looks like you all did well on that assignment. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on the video next week! I received this video for free from the producer and have a short form to fill out over the movie. We'll do this together next class.
