Holocaust WallWisher

I'm sure you have heard time and time again the old saying,"A picture's worth a thousand words." Today, you are going to be given a challenge--choosing one word that is meaningful enough to describe Mark Seliger's photograph of the visual marks left behind on four survivors of the Holocaust. Think about this photo. Think about what these marks mean to the survivors, and consider the effects the Holocaust had on these people that we can not see. As we have been studying the Holocaust through reading Elie Weisel's Night, we have been compiling a list of vocabulary words that we feel are most crucial to the novel. Choose one of the vocabulary words off of our word wall and write a paragraph explaining how that word is substantial enough to demonstrate what we see in this photo.
