Ghetto Life 101

Though we were disrupted several times with the laptop roll-outs and with H1N1 shots, we did make it through a small portion of the Sound Portrait's series called Ghetto Life 101. This series was taped in 1993 and serves as a glimpse into the life of two young boys who grew up in and around the Ida B. Wells projects in Chicago. We started a Listening Guide that will help us to focus on discussion points related to the scenes and information we're learning about these boys and ghetto life.

We'll continue on with this listening activity and I'll describe some related work that you'll use your laptops to complete over Thanksgiving break. Good work today.
